REIKI

The healing touch (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes Healing (physically & spiritually).
It was re-discovered in the early 1900's by Dr.Mikao Usui.Reiki is administered by "laying on of hands" either on or above the body, techniques like this have been practised for thousands of years.
The word REIKI comes from two Japanese words Rei and Ki: Rei can mean universal energy - present everywhere- it can also mean higher knowledge or spiritual consciousness.Ki is life energy or the universal life force. If your life energy is low,or there is a restriction in its flow you can be more vulnerable to illness.
A very relaxing non-invasive therapy done either lying down or seated fully clothed, usually with a blanket over you to keep warm -I always find no matter what therapy you are doing when a person is kept warm the body response is much better.
Very effective for stress reduction and relaxation, for releasing stuck emotions, bringing about a profound feeling of peace and harmony.

Thermo-auricular therapy

Or as known by most people Hopi ear candling.
I use Biosun ear candles which are still made by hand using a traditional recipe, they are very safe to use and smell wonderful with beeswax, honey,St.John's Wort,Chamomile & Sage......all very calming and relaxing..you can also hear a lovely crackling and hissing as the candle burns ( reminds me of the noise a rainstick makes when turned upside down gently).....again very relaxing and soothing
*Great to use for glue ear in children **Before going on a plane journey it's a must it helps to re-balance the inner ear **for excess ear wax..its kinder than syringing **can help colds and sinus problems
Its a very pleasant, relaxing therapy and afterwards your ears feel amazingly clean and your hearings sharper......at least that's how I always feel after a session.

AROMATHERAPY

As far as i'm concerned nothing beats an Aromatherapy massage, the essential oils are so complex and magical and can be successfully used to treat a variety of conditions.Using two of our most powerful senses Touch & Smell, the touch is very relaxing/soothing and the smell can transport us back to our childhood with the right scent thats how powerful it is and the two combined with the specially chosen oils make a very powerful healing tool.
You can also use aromatherapy as a totaly heavenly, indulgent, experience to enjoy the smells and have all the knots and tension released from your body...usually I just drift away!!! and come to feeling a new person!!!!..wonderful.

Bowen Technique

Started by Tom Bowen in Australia and brought to the world after his passing by Ossie and Elaine Renche.
A simple but profound therapy bringing the body back into balance to give it the optimum chance to heal.
Excellent for all age groups from the new born to the elderly, great for expectant mums to help throughout the pregnancy with back ache etc. also helps with the baby's positioning in the womb.-can help with bedwetting adult or child -pelvic misalignment -Irritable Bowel -Migraine -frozen shoulder -planter faciaitis - back ache -stress/tension.. to name but a few.The rolling movement used by the therapist is very gentle and used at very specific points on the body after which there is a 2min. wait to let the body absorb the work and react to it - this happens throughout the session and is in my opinion a very relaxing experience.I also find the Bowen moves to work very well on my body's problem areas and that was a factor in my becoming a Bowen therapist.

Bowen Advanced Training in Dublin

Just been over to Dublin for the next step in my Bowen training...spb1..The Advanced Training...I was a bit anxious before leaving and also a bit excited,I was'nt sure if I would know anybody else there or not,and its learning new stuff and just wondering if I can do it or not ,would there be an exam at the end,the usual niggly worries you get before starting something new and going somewhere new on your own....but also thinking it was an exciting new adventure. As it turned out I had met one of the Irish ladies before and everybody was really friendly and helpfull....after all we were all in the same boat...it was great to be able to discuss our work and exchange views and be enthusiastic and passionate about Bowen. The weekend was a resounding success lots of work packed into two action packed days.......Lots of new moves to
practise and integrate into my work over the next 6 months then it will be assessment time!!!!!!!
Also I was able to do a bit of sightseeing as that was my first time in Dublin...its a beautiful city!! very friendly locals and I would love to go back and explore again someday!

Sedona seminar

Just been to a Sedona seminar....very interesting,a brilliant day.Its a way of letting go of emotions eg. anger,fear,apathy,hate.etc.,as stuck emotions are what hold us back from experiencing a more fulfilling life and they can also cause disease.

about argaty aromatherapy

At Argaty aromatherapy we listen to what you need rather than trying to just sell you something. For instance if you phoned asking for a massage I would ask why you think you needed a massage and if it was for a specific problem i may suggest that one of the other therapies would be more beneficial or even another therapy that somebody else has to offer.
